Established by the University of Barcelona in 1997, the PCB was the first science park in Spain and today we are an international benchmark in the promotion of innovation with more than 3,340 professionals working in the health sector: pharma, biotechnology, medical technologies, food and cosmetics. Currently the PCB hosts 9 research institutes and more than 116 companies and other entities. We offer laboratory and office space for rent and a series of essential scientific services for research, innovation and technology transfer, and we also organize activities to promote scientific culture and encourage new scientific vocations, in which more than 5,000 students participate each year.

We offer scientific and technological services of high added value to the entities installed in the Park such as cell culture rooms, high speed centrifuges and ultracentrifuges, spectroscopy equipment, microscopes, histology equipment, ultrafreezers, liquid nitrogen storage, protein purification service, cold chambers, cleaning and sterilization service of material, radioactive facility, and Drosophila services.
We also offer animal facility service to the whole research community upon request.
