In April 2003, with the support of the Community of Madrid, the TECNOALCALÁ Scientific and Technological Park was created with the aim of economically revitalizing the Corredor del Henares. The management of TECNOALCALÁ corresponds to the company MADRID ACTIVA S.A.U.
Its main mission is to create a space where the priority is to support innovation and the transfer of technology and knowledge, offering quality land for the installation of innovative companies. The Park is developed on a plot of 370,705 m2, located on the campus of the University of Alcalá (UAH). Created to favor the innovative process of these companies and the transfer of technology and knowledge from the University, it constitutes a fundamental element that allows the strengthening of relations between the academic and business spheres. The Park includes companies from different sectors, the most representative of which are the Information Technology, health and industrial sectors. The Park currently has more than 40 companies.
