Walqa Technology Park, S.A. was established with the aim of becoming a hub for innovation and R&D, particularly in the fields of information technology, biotechnology and renewable energy.
The Park aims to promote a culture of R&D&I, competitiveness and the development of technology-based projects within an environment conducive to these objectives. It acts as a key driving force in contributing to the development of the province of Huesca, creating jobs in highly technical sectors, primarily the ICT sector, as well as the energy and biotechnology sectors.
It comprises 14 buildings and is home to around 90 organisations. Furthermore, Walqa is home to a number of unique projects that give it particular significance; it is therefore a hub for innovative companies which, generally speaking, are highly receptive to cooperation in the broadest sense of the term: commercial collaboration, participation in R&D projects, technology transfer, and ultimately opening up new horizons that boost the competitiveness of businesses.
