The Spanish Association of Science and Technology Parks (APTE) attended the DES-Digital Enterprise Show technology forum held in Malaga from 11 to 13 June, accompanied by a delegation of more than 40 representatives from companies and organisations belonging to its member parks and the Spanish Technology Platform for Disruptive Technologies (DISRUPTIVE).
The technological challenges of our era have been the central theme of this 8th edition, which featured a debate on Artificial Intelligence led by members of the UN High-Level Advisory Body for the safe, sustainable and human-centred implementation of this technology.
APTE participated with a stand alongside the DISRUPTIVE Platform, which is managed by the association and funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities through the State Research Agency, to raise awareness of the work carried out by this platform focused on the study, dissemination and promotion of the application of disruptive digital technologies among Spanish companies and organisations.
On this occasion, the association was accompanied by representatives from La Salle Technova Barcelona, the Extremadura Science and Technology Park, the Tenerife Science and Technology Park (PCTT), the Balearic Technology Innovation Park (ParcBit), the Basque Country Technology Park and Málaga TechPark, who actively participated in the event programme alongside some of their most innovative companies. La Salle Technova Barcelona once again held “StartUps The Scale Up!” to showcase innovative projects to investors. For its part, the Extremadura Science and Technology Park has highlighted the work carried out by DIH Extremadura as a unique window for training services, R&D&I technology services, and business development services, to lead the digitalisation of Extremadura companies.
The DISRUPTIVE platform also organised a B2B meeting between some of the companies participating in the event, which led to around twenty business meetings.
At the same time, the launch of the third edition of the APTENISA programme for business ideation and acceleration has also been announced. This programme will promote the detection of 75 new business ideas and the acceleration of 30 start-ups, and is supported by the National Innovation Company (ENISA). APTE’s participation in DES coincided with the final stage of the open call for innovative ideas in the APTENISA incubation phase (APTENISA START), which allowed some innovative projects attending the event to register for this phase of the programme, which begins on 17 July.
