Definition of Science and Technology Park

It is a Project, generally associated with a physical space, with the following characteristics:

1. Formal and operational dealings with universities, research centres and higher educational institutions.

2. Desingned to encourage the creation and growth of knowledge – based companies and other organizations belonging to the service sector, which are normally established in the park itself, with a high added value.

3. A stable managing body that promotes the transfer of technology and fosters innovation between the companies and organizations using the park.
