Technical data:

The park has established itself as a driver for attracting investment and R&D&I projects, ensuring its long-term sustainability and growth around the concept of the Circular Economy in the Canary Islands, an outermost region of the EU. It has contributed to the creation of a new innovation space in an area with historically low investment in R&D, supporting the Canary Islands’ Extended Smart Specialisation Strategy (RIS3) 2021–2027.

This environment has boosted the Circular Economy across both the public and private sectors in Gran Canaria, in alignment with European, national and regional policies. It has also promoted energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, and integrated water cycle management, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Thanks to collaboration with SPEGC, ITC, and the University, the park has attracted research and entrepreneurial talent.

It has also encouraged new investments, including a coworking space and employment and training programmes such as RENOEE. Finally, the development of a 30,000 m² plot has been planned to accommodate future innovative public and private projects.
